Human Resources Officer
Central London (Victoria)
Fixed term Contract to April 2011
£36,570 (inclusive pension and allowances)

Role and responsibilities
The HR Officer will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of the company's HR Services by providing high quality advice and operational support in accordance with a contract until 30 April 2011.

The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, contracting, induction, mobilisation and deployment. In addition the role includes management of a personnel database, staff training, maintenance of related administrative systems, management of the staff insurance cover and support in the area of flights and visa arrangement. On occasion the role will require provision of HR data to management. The candidate should have the ability to work extra hours if required in emergency response scenarios.

Qualifications, skills and experience
Minimum qualifications:
• A relevant degree and ideally a CIPD professional qualification
• 3-4 years HR experience, and experience in a humanitarian context
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate:
• Strong organisational, administrative, interpersonal, writing and verbal skills
• Good communication skills both written and oral, in English
• Ability to work within small teams
• Ability to prioritise work effectively
• Ability to interpret information and performance monitoring
• Security awareness
• Project management methodology
