We are looking for patient and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our newly formed team in Brighton. At our new Brighton service, we will be supporting a young adult at their family home. As the service is focused on supporting one individual, you will have the opportunity to build a fantastic and memorable relationship with the person we support.

We are currently offering both part time and full time contracts which entail up to 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility is important as support is delivered throughout the day, with shifts spread across morning, afternoons and evenings. You will be required to work bank holidays, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays. Support is offered from 10:00-22:00 with shifts varying in between.

The person we support in Brighton sees many things as being important to them - in particular, they would like to receive a lot of attention and reassurance (don't we all!) as well as a regular routine. You will be supporting them with their daily living tasks with things like finances, shopping and offering support out in the community. You will also support the individual with their hobbies; be it through listening to YouTube, going for long walks and anything superhero related - do you know your X men from your Avengers?

The service will be offering support on a 2-1 basis (with the occasional 3-1).  You will receive bespoke training for this service, covering a number of specific skills, including a session on autism management. This service has an aim to provide consistent, positive support to the individual - a positive and patient approach will go a long way!

As a Support Worker, all you'll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. Enhanced DBS is required for each successful candidate.
