St Wilfrid’s Hospice exists to support, empower and care for people at the end of life. We provide specialist care for people with any progressive and advanced disease. Our vision is of a community where people talk openly about dying, live well until the end of their life and where nobody dies alone, afraid or in pain. The Retail Company directly supports this vision and all profits made in the shops and through other retail income directly benefit the hospice.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to become the Community Shop Manager (Hailsham). Your core areas of responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day running of the shop with a focus on increasing sales and profitability, co-ordinate volunteer rotas, managing banking and paperwork and ensuring creative and effective merchandising, You will also have shared responsibility for the recruitment and training of volunteers and for encouraging donations of stock from the public.

Your skills will include achieving income and expenditure targets, excellent customer service, effective team leadership, shop operations and delivery of our standards.Retail knowledge is essential, as are excellent communication and people skills and a passion for working towards charitable objectives and improving community links

We are offering 27 days annual leave plus entitlement for bank holidays (pro-rata).
