About the Role

We are seeking to employ a cheerful, motivated and pro-active Caretaker with the  understanding of the importance of health and safety to join our friendly school team. You will be responsible for our school's site security, maintenance and cleanliness.

Duties will include maintaining high standards of cleaning, opening and closing of the school site (including opening and closing for lettings and emergency call-outs), dealing with contractors as required and necessary caretaker paperwork. The position will also include scheduled building maintenance work and this will be paid on a claims only basis SS4.

Previous experience is preferable but not a necessity as full training will be provided.

(Working pattern is a split shift: Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 9.00am, 3.00pm to 6.00pm)

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009. 

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations. 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
