About the Role

The St Thomas á Becket Church of England Federation is looking for a new member of staff to add to their existing support staff team. You will be working and based within Framfield CEP School.

We are looking for a motivated, flexible and energetic Individual Needs Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly school for a total of 24 hours which will be worked across 4 ½ days per week. Hours of work to be discussed at interview. The role will be directly linked and will involve working closely with a named child.

INA Role The successful candidate will be working mainly with a Key Stage 1 pupil, progressing with them as they travel through the school year groups.

They should have the skills and abilities necessary for providing targeted support; preparing resources and liaising effectively with parents and outside agencies.  We are looking for someone with a calm and reassuring manner, who is flexible and able to use their own initiative.

The post holder will work closely alongside the class teacher, SENCO and other support staff as part of our supportive and enthusiastic team.

Applicants should have good understanding of children with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties, be confident with literacy and numeracy and have a sound knowledge of ICT.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
