Our client, based in Gatwick / Crawley), is a widely respected UK independent firm of Chartered Accountants with an international reach. As a result of sustained growth, they have a newly created role of Business Services Controller to join their highly driven and proactive team.

The role will involve:
• Assisting in the preparation of complex business accounts from incomplete records
• Preparing simple personal, partnership & corporation tax returns
• Review of VAT returns prepared by junior staff
• Identifying basic tax planning opportunities and recommending appropriate strategies
• Monitoring performance of junior staff, providing on the job training and assisting supervisors with technical research

You will be contributing to the provision of an excellent service to a diverse range of group and international clients, whilst providing support to managers and partners and occasionally supervising junior staff.

To be successful, you will be a qualified AAT or part-qualified ACA or ACCA or QBE with experience gained within a UK firm of chartered accountants, possess good communication skills and be a strong team player.
