A large firm with a nationwide presence are looking for an experienced Construction Solicitor, to be based in their Gatwick Office. The successful candidate will be working alongside a successful team within the Property Department. The Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Projects Group acts for developers, funders, property investment companies, owners, occupiers and contractors across a wide range of construction matters. This includes office developments, logistics parks, energy and infrastructure projects, hotels, shopping centres and urban regeneration in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

About you:

• Ideally you will have 1-5 years of previous experience in construction and property, with a strong interest in this area.
• A proactive and enthusiastic member of the team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to cope with pressure and conflicting demands on time.

The role:

• You will be required to manage a caseload independently.
• The role will involve analysing legal and commercial issues, as well as conducting and preparing negotiations under supervision.
• You will assist senior Solicitors with the collation of material to support pitches and presentations.
• Work on client projects, preparing draft reports under supervision of more senior Solicitors.
• Discuss and negotiate on basic / intermediate documents and points of law in relation to a project.
• Attend and assist in the organising and hosting of marketing events.
• You will report directly to the Construction Partner.
