A rare opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Solicitor who is keen to make the step into an in-house environment or a Legal Counsel with around 3-5 years PQE to join an international company at their offices in Crawley, West Sussex.

The role:

• Working within a small legal team of an engineering company with 42,000 staff worldwide.
• Reporting to the Legal Director, you will provide legal and commercial advice and services to the Group, including contract review and negotiation from bid to execution.
• You will ensure that contractual risks are identified and removed or mitigated and will be directly involved in contract negotiations with clients and suppliers.
• You will also be expected to ensure that the company's policies and procedures relating to contracting are complied with.
• Occasionally you will advise and/or handle disputes that the company may become involved in.
• Some travel as required.

About you:

• A qualified Solicitor with circa 3-5 years PQE within Commercial law, either from a practise or in-house background. Preferably with some engineering industry experience.
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisation skills to deal with diverse workloads.
• Happy to take responsibility for any duties as required.
