Children’s Services - Social Work Traineeship Scheme - Based within the Contact Assessment and Intervention Academy Teams located in Crawley (North) and Worthing (South)

You will already have some experience and knowledge gained from within a Social Care setting/background.

We are looking for people who want to make a difference to the communities that they live in by training to become a Child Protection Social Worker.

This is a unique opportunity for you to study to become a Social Worker, whilst working and getting real on the job experience to complement your study.

This role is very challenging and you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the right skills, experiences and attitude to become a Social Worker, as well as the ability to meet the requirements of academic study at either the Open University at undergraduate level or Chichester University at Postgraduate level

Specifically, you will have GCSE Maths and English at grade A-C or equivalent qualification, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work well independently, within a team and with other partnership agencies. You will also be able to handle conflict and have excellent organisational and time management skills to balance the demands of work, study and your home life.

Upon qualification and full registration, you will commence your ASYE within the Academy Team before moving to one of our frontline teams.
