We currently have a new opportunity for a Debt Recovery Advisor within a busy dedicated department.

Main Objectives

• Receive inbound and make outbound calls using an automated dialling system to ensure maximum contact
• Proactive telephone contact with debtors to attempt timely resolution and inform of next steps/actions
• Ensure compliance with appropriate legislation and regulatory bodies
• Adhere to company procedures and policies.
• Administer and maintain customer agreements, including chasing of failed arrangements.
• Negotiating suitable monthly repayment arrangements
• Liaise with external customers to resolve complex queries
• Liaise with agents regarding voluntary terminations and repossessions
• Liaise with solicitors regarding customer agreements
• Negotiate with nominated third parties both verbally and in writing.
• Trace and locate debtors
• Prepare debtors agreements for legal action
• Working and monitoring queues

What You'll Need

• Previous debt collection experience preferred.
• Computer Literacy and keyboard skills
• Sound numeracy skills.
• Confident telephone manner.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• In depth knowledge of company and regulatory policies.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Tenacity when negotiating for a pre-determined outcome.
• Persuasive, persistent and self motivated

Hours of work

The new shift rota equates to an average of 35 hours a week as follows:-

Week 1 (35 hours)
10.00am to 6pm for Monday to Friday with a one hour unpaid break

Week 2 (35 hours)
9am to 5pm for Monday to Friday with a one hour unpaid break

Week 3 (40 hours)
12pm – 8.00pm Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid break
9am – 2pm Saturday

Week 4 (30 hours)
9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid break
Lieu day on alternate Monday or Friday each week you work this rota
