System Analyst

The Remote Services Operations Systems Analyst works within a small multi-disciplined team and is responsible for maintaining the Remote Services production environment by identifying system requirements; coordinating and testing business logic changes; and implementation and maintenance of data configuration control and data management.

Responsibilities:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• liaising extensively with external and internal stakeholders;
• mapping and documenting interfaces between systems;
• translating user requirements into highly specified Requests for change;
• identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability;
• conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for implementation;
• developing business rule/logic solutions;
• working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
• overseeing implementation of a new releases including data consumption;
• planning and working flexibly to deadlines;
• supporting users on change control and system updates;
• Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments
• Defining system and operational policies and procedures.
• Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Data configuration management planning and describing provisions for data configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
• Configuration planning and Identifying and maintaining the original system configuration of the IntelliMax Enterprise
• Configuration change control and regulating the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product.
• Data configuration status accounting and tracking all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration.
• Configuration audits and supporting audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.
• Supporting quality assurance process audits.
• Act as an ambassador and change agent for the group, and Connected Products within Elekta,
• Change control (RFC) process ownership

Qualifications:

Essential

• A minimum of HND/HNC information technology or comparable experience in IT/IS background
• System Administration, Developing Standards, LAN Knowledge, Training , Multi-tasking, Networking Knowledge
• Experience in executing or overseeing change management processes.
• Understanding and ability to review and analyze Request for Changes (RFCs) to determine if the change has been sufficiently planned and tested to minimize disruptions to mission-critical systems. This includes review of roll-back plans, test results, impact analysis, and communication plans
• Relevant experience demonstrating business awareness or involvement
• Strong analytical skills able to solve systems level problems
• Proven experience of applications support in a customer facing role.
• Experience implementing technological or process change in medium or large organizations.

Desirable

• Experience with complex enterprise architecture.
• Worked with Agile development practices
• Experience of Business Intelligence systems and implementation (QlikView is used at Elekta)
• Working knowledge of SQL and database design
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• ITIL Foundation Certification or higher
