Specialist Day Services at Maidenbower day centre require a support worker. To ensure the independence, safety and wellbeing of people with physical, sensory or memory impairments who attend the day centre. Customers will have been assessed as eligible through Adult Services and attend one or more days per week.

You will be involved in supporting customers, during their day at the centre, promoting their independence and working in a person centred way. You will be involved in Escort duties on the centre transport to and from the centre, ensuring safe access to the centre.

You will support customers with their personal care needs working in a dignified and respectful manner. Support workers also work with customers to engage in a range of individual and group activities (including Arts and crafts, Reminiscence and gentle exercise etc.).

We are looking for a person who is passionate about working with this client group. You will be creative, self-motivated, organised and above all you will be an effective team player who communicates well at all levels.

As a support worker will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and be supported and mentored at Maidenbower day centre. You will have the opportunity to attend training which is relevant to this role.
