Here at West Sussex County Council we have a clear vision for our county which sets out what we want to achieve with residents.

We want to ensure residents, families and communities have the right support in place to enable them to confidently prepare for later life so they can live independently for as long as possible and remain economically active for longer.

If you are committed to Occupational Therapy, enjoy change and development and want the opportunity to help influence the future direction of Occupational Therapy then this is the service for you.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with enthusiasm, drive and commitment for a Team Manager vacancy. You will manage a team of Occupational Therapists and Assistants. You must be a qualified HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with significant post qualification experience including at least 2 years in social care. Clear thinking and an expert problem solver, you should thrive on challenges and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to evidence robust and proactive partnership work and demonstrate the ability for strategic thinking to further develop our service.

You will provide expert advice, support and management working alongside a proactive management group in the Independent Living service. We need a forward thinking Occupational Therapist who is committed to supporting the transformation of our services, who enjoys challenge and change and who will bring energy and drive to these initiatives. Occupational Therapy has a positive profile in the county council and there are significant opportunities to contribute to future developments.

If you think you have the right values for our organisation, you will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development including supervision and management support to help you fulfil the role. We also offer an attractive benefits package including a childcare voucher scheme, flexible working and Local Government Pension Scheme.
