System Support Specialist, Redhill
£35,000-£40,000
This role is focused on support & maintenance, you will be completing platform upgrades following the infrastructure upgrade schedule, along with adherence and adoption of the documented maintenance procedures.
Act as a point of incident & request resolution of service desk escalations, you also be assisting with documentation handover to the service desk and solutions teams.
General IT support
- Manage and prioritise escalations from the service desk related to BAU activities and ensure targets SLA's are met
- Incident management associated with any BAU escalation
- Provide IT out of hours On-Call service: To be a member of the IT "on call" rota in case of system failure out of the core hours and escalation point to other team members
- Provide additional support to the IT service desk team on all PC and server hardware, PC applications, operating systems (desktop and network), external interfaces, telephony and mail systems. - As and when required

Essential skills:
- Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012
- Active directory
- Avaya CM6 & Associated Systems
- VMware ESXi and VCenter
- Citrix Technologies (XenApp, Citrix Acess Gateway)
- Firewall & VPN configurations
- LAN/WAN technologies and protocols
- Microsoft Web Server
- SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 administration
