Business Development Executive - Crawley - £19000- 20,000 basic per annum
Start date: ASAP
On-going Temporary Assignment

Our client is looking for target driven and self motivated individual to join their successful Business Development team.

Responsibilities and skills required:
• Demonstrate team-working skills including flexibility to move between tasks as prioritised by the line manager or team leader.
• Understand the individual contribution required in order to produce outstanding results for the group as a whole.
• Research and offer logistical solutions.
• Monitor and ensure satisfactory organisational response to any customer query received including escalation as required and regular feedback.
• Positively engage with Continuous Improvement activity including communication of ideas for improvement to team leader and management.
• Use, with support and guidance, Quality systems to understand any process failures and work constructively with others to identify root causes and address them.
• Proactively communicate with internal and external customers to meet targets.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships.
• Liaise with suppliers to source non-stock items as appropriate.

Person Specification:
• Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good telephone manner.
• Demonstrates team-working behaviours including supporting others through reliability, empathy and sharing of knowledge.
• Sales-driven with appropriate verbal and written communication skills to support the development of customer relationships.
• Ability to build rapport easily, puts the customer first and works hard to meet customer needs.
• Ability to sustain and develop relationships with a range of external ad-hoc and contracted customers.
• Recognises key organisational challenges and enhances development of a 'one company' perspective through active promotion of co-ordination between internal departments.

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The hours are on a rota basis: 8am to 4pm one week, and 9.30am to 5.30pm the second week, with a one hour lunch break.
