The Technical Support Executive (Helpdesk) is responsible for all technical and administrative tasks related to the reporting team. The role will provide the primary support for all external GB clients using the tool, as well as providing training and in-depth knowledge of extracting insight using the data. The helpdesk team will be responsible for the rollout, development and internal support of the tools.
Main Responsibilities
• Take full responsibility for setting up clients, development, maintenance and support of the tools
• Respond professionally to requests for technical assistance via phone, in person, and electronically
• Log all help desk interactions and achieve the key performance indicator targets and service level agreements set
• Keep technical knowledge current, communicate changes and updates and support the German team by providing constant feedback and suggestions for improvement
• Provide valuable insight to the clients
• Be proactive in issue prevention
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner submitted via the operations helpdesk
• Build market and product knowledge on all supported areas
• Technical training for internal staff/external customers as required
Ideally the person would come from maybe an IT Help Desk role and wish to move upwards.
The role is all about learning the System - starting small but then growing the role - for the right person they could become a 'Supervisor' and build a team as the activity takes off. It is really 'User' training i.e. train the clients to use the system to the level that they have paid for.
There are 3 levels for the client:-
1 is a holding place for reports which customers can login and see
2 is where the client pays for using the system, has a level of functionality and is able to create reports
3 is more cost to the client but for the extra cost they have more functionality etc. etc.
It is critical the person has excellent customer focus as they will be speaking and meeting clients and also liaising with Head Office. The presentation skills are really about giving information on the system and training the clients as opposed to presenting business information.
